Sophia Sugiyama
大阪生まれ、バンコク在住。豹柄を愛する、浪速の豹ならぬ東洋の豹。アジアのアートシーンの交流を盛んにするため、韓国、台湾のみならず東南アジアを中心にアートディレクター、キュレーターとして活動。 YOUTUBEで公開しているOMIAI DIALOUGE では仲人として、言語、アート、文化の様々なシーンで活躍している人々を繋げている。
個人の活動としては、発達障害（ADHD/ASD）当事者として、大人の発達障害がテーマの無料情報誌『凸凹といろ。』で“Dear Friends〜発達障害の悩みを抱える友人たちへ〜“の連載を担当している。
日英韓に加え、中国語学習歴もあり、現在はタイ語習得のためにチュラローンコン大学にて留学中。
ART Lab OMM/JAM WORKS 滝本章雄氏に師事。
Born in Osaka, currently living in Bangkok, Thailand. Loves leopard print. She has graduated from Leopard of Osaka to Leopard of the Orient. To promote international interaction within the Asian art scene, she is active as an art director and curator in South Korea, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. In the YouTube series OMIAI DIALOGUE, she acts as a matchmaker. Connecting people active in the fields of language, art, and culture.
Based on her experience with her developmental disorders (ADHD/ASD), she writes a serial column titled “Dear Friends – For friends who are troubled by developmental disorders” for the free magazine Dekoboko ToIro, which focuses on developmental disorders in adults.
In addition to Japanese, English, and Korean, she is studying Chinese online and Thai at Chulalongkorn University.

シアトル出身。大阪ミナミ在住。妻とお酒を愛する日系4世。英日韓のトリリンガル。ワシントン大学大学院電気工学修士課程卒業後、2016年に来日。在学中に日本のゲストハウスに宿泊したことが転機となり、様々な出会いがあるホステル業界に興味を持ち日本で就職。大阪に転勤になり、多様な人たちがそれぞれ自分の人生を謳歌する街・ミナミの虜になった。
現在はインバウンド向け旅行会社の日本法人代表としてマネジメントを行う一方で、その語学力を生かし、飲食店のメニューからメジャーバンドの歌詞まで、翻訳者としても、幅広く活躍している。
Mark Sugiyama is a half-Japanese half-American who currently lives near the Namba district in Osaka. Along with English and Japanese, he is also proficient in Korean. He got his masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington. However, after staying at a guesthouse while traveling in Japan he realized that people are much more interesting than numbers and decided to work in the hospitality industry. After moving to Osaka, he was captivated by the Namba area and its people.
While working as the East Asia Area Manager of a group tour company full-time, he also uses his language skills to translate a wide variety of material. From menus to lyrics to artist profiles and statements. If you have any translation requests please feel free to DM us!
